I admire your courage early in your career to make leaps of faith. I've recently moved into a similar role in a health care organization that I had in a very large industrial corporation. Was there for 27 years and thought I'd be there forever. But I am quickly finding that change is very liberating, particularly because it was my choice to change, not a layoff or cutback that forced it. Timing has a lot to do with making a change and having it work well. A refreshing change for sure, and one that I just did not really consider seriously until very recently. It makes me wonder why I did not get the urge to switch earlier, but dwelling on that is a waste of time. Take what you have, put it to the best use you can, and keep your eyes open. I guess I am the anomaly in "CareerLand" these days since I was at one firm for so long, and this is the first change I've ever made...but so far I could not be happier about it!
